Dr. Fatima Khushnud is an independent director of PMEX. She has more than 15 years of diverse work experience in corporate finance, power sector advisory, infrastructure finance, advisory, consulting, academics, research and training.

At present, Dr. Khushnud is serving as Chief Operating Officer for Pact Capital-Holt Group. Prior to this, she was working as VP Business Development for Engro Energy Limited. She has also served as Chief Executive Officer at the Independent Power Producers Association (IPPA). Her extensive policy and advocacy experience which encompasses representing IPPs with power sector stakeholders before the Planning Commission, Ministry of Water and Power, Ministry of Finance, National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA), National Transmission & Despatch Company (NTDC), Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and other policy-making forums on industry issues is a real feather in her cap. Within the education sector, she has been involved with academic institutes for instructional design in higher education academic programs.

Dr. Khushnud has a PhD in Corporate Finance, Essays in Asset Pricing, from the University of Western Australia, Perth, Australia and a Masters of Applied Finance with Distinction from Monash University, Melbourne, Australia.
